Flame Off! Competition
The Flame Off! is a pillar of the Tucson Gem Show, featuring 45 Glass Artists competing against the clock to create the most innovative glass art creations.
Founded here in Tucson by Tom Philabaum, the event has grown into a highly anticipated flameworking competition. The Flame Off!, a highlight of the Gem and Mineral Show, draws hundreds of people for a night of spectacular entertainment, providing the ultimate opportunity to get together to celebrate everything that is fun and exciting about glass!
This year’s event will feature 3 sessions of competition, microbrews from Thunder Canyon Brewery, a variety of food vendors, fire arts sculpture, and more.
Event Details:
Day: Saturday, February 6th, 2010.
Where: 6151 S. Tucson Blvd. Go towards the airport and follow the signs!
Schedule of events:
Doors open at 3 pm.
Session I: 4 pm – 6 pm. Fire Arts Performance by Elemental Artistry.
Session II: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Fire Arts Performance by Elemental Artistry.
Session III TEAM INVITATIONAL: 9 pm – 12 am.
